Summary
The role
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with and lead a dedicated group of people and be part of a high performing team which has a broad remit. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead the team's delivery across a range of activities including regulation, incident management as well as working with a variety of partners and customers. No two days are the same as the role contains a mix of planned and reactive work.
The Team Leader will have a technical appreciation of the whole team remit (including water and agriculture, Protected Sites, Fisheries and Biodiversity). They will take an active role in setting and managing priorities and regulatory responses within the 'Place' as well as decision making based on available evidence. As a self starter, they will be expected to lead on or champion a specific area of work at a local or directorate level.
The post holder will be required to develop an extensive stakeholder network and a crucial aspect of this role will be nurturing and supporting partnership working outside of NRW to secure the Sustainable Management of Natural Resources (SMNR) and wellbeing outcomes.
This role sits within North East Wales as part of the Operations Directorate. The post is one of 2 Environment Team Leaders within North East Operations and is one of 5 team leader roles reporting to the North East Operations Manager.
