Registered Care Home Manager – Residential Care | Up to £85,000 + Bonus

Seeking an exceptional leader with proven turnaround experience

If you’re a high-performing Registered Home Manager known for stabilising services, driving improvement, and confidently navigating CQC expectations, this role offers the challenge and impact you’ve been looking for.

This is a rare opportunity to take charge of a beautifully designed, purpose-built residential service for older adults, where strong leadership, resilience, and strategic thinking will be key to raising standards and delivering outstanding outcomes.

As the Registered Manager, you’ll lead the entire service with authority and compassion—bringing clarity, structure, and momentum to a home that requires a capable, solutions-focused leader.

What We’re Looking For

We are specifically seeking someone with a proven track record of strong home management and CQC-facing leadership. You will have:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Extensive experience as a Registered Home Manager within older adult residential or nursing services.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, with clear evidence of turning around homes or improving CQC ratings.
  • Deep understanding of CQC regulation, compliance, safeguarding, and quality frameworks.
  • Confident, decisive leadership style with the ability to take ownership and set high standards.
  • Financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning.
  • Commitment to delivering dignified, person-centred care for older adults.

Why You’ll Love Joining

  • Up to £85,000 plus performance-related bonus.
  • Relocation assistance for standout candidates.
  • Generous pension scheme and life assurance.
  • Up to 30 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Occupational sick pay and excellent professional development support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strong, visible leadership across the care home.
  • Take full responsibility for the operational, regulatory, and clinical performance of the service.
  • Lead turnaround and improvement plans to ensure consistent CQC compliance and high-quality care.
  • Build a positive, collaborative culture rooted in dignity, respect, and accountability.
  • Manage budgets, staffing levels, contracts, and resources effectively.
  • Drive robust recruitment, training, and continuous development of your team.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, auditing, and quality monitoring.
  • Build trusted relationships with residents, families, commissioners, and external professionals.
  • Confidently lead inspections, presenting strong evidence and implementing impactful action plans.
