What you'll be doing;

  • Carry out the day to day compliance with the Environmental Permit, reporting any non-compliance or incidents to the O&M Supervisor/Operations Manager
  • Carry out all daily activities in the Tipping Hall and associated areas ensuring optimal operational efficiency
  • Control the reception / disposal of waste and ensure compliance with Company Procedures by all vehicles / drivers while on site
  • Operate refuse cranes, mobile plant, weighbridge and other equipment as required by the operational demands of the ERF
  • Work within the company's Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental Management System and all relevant legislation
  • Assist other Company staff and contractors as required
  • Carry out other reasonable tasks and duties as requested by management

The above is a summary of the main tasks and responsibilities of the post; further tasks and responsibilities may be required within the demands of the business.



What we're looking for;

  • Knowledge of Regulatory and Health & Safety requirements
  • Ideally some experience in an Engineering role
  • Appropriate Qualifications for the duties of the post
  • Experience gained through working in an industrial environment preferably involving a continuous process
  • Able to operate, or train to operate, a variety of mobile equipment and fixed plant
  • Ability to work shifts
  • Self-motivated and flexible, working with minimal supervision
