Lower Key Stage 2 Teacher

Hours of Post: Fulltime 1.0 FTE
Contract Type: Fixed Term to cover Maternity leave
Salary Grade: Teachers Main Payscale - £32,916 to £45,352

Start Date of Post: 9th March 2026 (or starting after Easter will be considered)


What skills and experience we're looking for
The headteacher, governors and children at Moss Hey Primary are looking to appoint a highly motivated, caring and passionate teacher to be part of our team. The role will be in lower Key Stage 2.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the potential to
Be an outstanding classroom practitioner able to work flexibly with colleagues within a strong team and support curriculum development
Reflect on, and adapt accordingly, their own practice and its impact on the learning outcomes for children
Quickly build rapport with children, understanding their needs to help them reach their full potential and contribute to raising standards across the school
Has a commitment to inclusive practice
Prioritise children’s wellbeing, mental health and pastoral care
Communicate positively and effectively with children, staff and parents
Meet constant challenges with enthusiasm, determination and resilience
Be pro-active and contribute to wider school life.
