Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 26-year-old male living in the Llanedeyrn area. I need help socialising due to my ASD, I recently lost my mum who was also my care giver. Since then I have been living with my older brother, but as he is going back to work I need someone to support me accessing the local community and leaving the home. I also need support and reassurance in unfamiliar settings or around new people and sometimes need help with my communication. I enjoy going to boxing classes, going to social clubs and out door activities.
PURPOSE OF JOB
I need support to attend activities of my choice out in the community and shopping, also taking me to Dr appointments when needed and prompting me with my personal care.
PLACE OF WORK

HOURS OF WORK
10 Hours over Two day’s a week excluding Sunday’s can be flexible to be discussed at interview
RATE OF PAY
£14.35 an hour
TASKS INVOLVED
• Prompting with Personal Care
• Supporting with Socialising
• Going Shopping
• Dr Appointments when required
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
• Reliable
• Able to respect my privacy and confidentiality
• Have common sense and initiative
• Friendly and a good communicator
• Driver – preferred
• Flexible and adaptable to meet my needs.
ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
