Working hours: 35 hours per weekInterview Date: To be confirmedJob Summary:The Intergenerational Mission Facilitator will be responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of practical and spiritual programmes, and outreach with the local community to fulfil the aims of the Mission Development Plan. Key Responsibilities: Develop and lead worship in the spiritual intergenerational programme and where appropriate provide chaplaincy and pastoral care visits to support programme participants Develop effective working partnerships with internal mission development teams to ensure intergenerational programmes are designed and implemented in alignment with organisational and best practice principles Lead on establishing links to the community and any relevant external agencies to maximise the effective delivery of programmes to the community Ensure that both employee and volunteer resources are appointed and developed to deliver programmes effectively and line manage employees where required. Either deliver the programme yourself or, where appropriate, supervise and mentor employees and volunteers to deliver programmes. Demonstrate both a professional and appropriately relational manner when interacting with people of all ages to create a welcoming and supportive environment. Fulfil your duties in line with all relevant Salvation Army and statutory policies and procedures including health and safety, data protection, safeguarding, equality and diversity. The successful candidate(s) will have:The ability and willingness to support the fulfilment of the spiritual aims of the intergenerational programme, showing compassion and understanding to all programme participants of all ages and stages of life and be willing to support an individual’s and group’s spiritual needs The ability and willingness to lead and/or participate in worship, provide pastoral care and bring people in the local community into a living faith with JesusStrong previous experience and up to date knowledge of developing and implementing successful intergenerational practical and spiritual programmes for a diverse range of participants of all ages and stages of lifeAn awareness of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements such as health and safety, data protection, safeguarding, equality and diversityStrong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information to programme participants of all ages and colleagues in a clear, effective and professional mannerStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues, programme participants and external stakeholdersThis role has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate must be a committed and practising Christian, actively involved with your own Church and will be in sympathy with the doctrines of, and supportive of, the purposes and the aims and objectives of The Salvation Army.
