For more information please see the Role Profile and Person specification.
The Marker will work primarily with our Technical assessment, 8202-531 Level 3 Electrical Installation - Theory Exam.
This assessment is delivered in the Spring and Summer series each year and includes written-response questions for our learners to complete under exam conditions.
The theory exams are created and marked by trained and experienced associates working with City & Guilds.
The key activities the Marker is involved in are around the Spring and Summer exams, which fall in March/April and June/July. These awarding periods include attending a full-day online standardisation meeting, and being able to mark exams during the marking window.
Throughout the awarding period, the Markers will also be on hand to support City & Guilds in responding to queries and feedback from the assessment team, Team Leaders and/or the Chief Examiner in relation to the assessments. The Marker must be available throughout the standardisation and marking windows.
This role provides payment for the attendance at standardisation meetings and for the number of exam papers marked.
A full training and induction plan will be put in place for the successful applicant.
