A personal assistant is required to support a happy and friendly eight-year-old girl living in Roche.

She has hemiplegia and paralysis in her right arm, and she would like someone with whom she can build a relationship and who can provide 1:1 support in the community, enabling her to explore and thrive.

She loves singing, dancing, drawing, and running.

Six hours per week are available, and this is flexible. Weekend and school holiday availability will be required.

This is a rewarding opportunity to help a young person grow, gain independence, and make a meaningful difference in their life.

The rate of pay is £13.45 per hour.

Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people is essential. A full driving licence is desirable.

The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family, and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All offers of employment will be subject to the successful candidate undertaking an enhanced DBS check, the administration process will be undertaken by Cornwall Council.
