Are you a recent graduate who wants to build real experience working with young people?
Maybe you're curious about teaching… or SEN… or psychology… or pastoral work. Or maybe you're just looking for a meaningful job where you can genuinely help students who need someone calm, patient, and on their side.
If that sounds like you, our partner secondary schools in Andover would love to meet you.
We're helping a fantastic Andover school recruit a Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join their team . This is a brilliant first step into education, especially if you're considering a long-term career working with young people but want to dip your toe in first.
And here's the important bit:
You don't need to have worked in a school before.
Most of our best LSAs started with absolutely no school experience - just the right attitude.
We'll make sure you feel prepared and confident before you start, with:
• Free CPD and training, including SEN basics and behaviour strategies
• Experience days, so you can try the role before saying "yes"
• Regular check-ins (proper ones - not tick-box ones)
• A friendly, understanding team that you can call anytime
• Support with confidence-building, communication, and classroom routines
We genuinely want you to feel settled and supported. No being thrown into the deep end here.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll be right beside the students who need an extra helping hand - academically, emotionally, or both. Your job is to help them feel safe, seen and able to learn.
You'll be:
• Supporting students with additional learning needs
• Providing calm, patient 1:1 help
• Working with small groups who need extra guidance
• Helping students stay focused, engaged, and confident
• Supporting the SENCO, teachers and pastoral staff
• Promoting a positive, inclusive atmosphere in the classroom
It's a role where empathy, understanding, and patience make a huge difference. Some days you'll help a student overcome something that seemed impossible to them that morning - and there's nothing quite like that feeling.
We love hearing from graduates who are:
• Considering teaching, SEN support, psychology, counselling or youth work
• Patient, warm and great at building rapport
• Good listeners and natural encouragers
• Reliable, proactive and happy to help wherever needed
• Keen to support young people who really benefit from extra kindness
No school experience? Absolutely fine. Bring your empathy - we'll teach you the rest.
• £85-£100 per day (PAYE), paid weekly
• Free CPD and specialist SEND training
• Wellbeing-focused support
• Experience days before you start
• Honest, transparent communication (no surprises, ever)
• A temp-to-perm pathway if you want long-term stability
We look after you, so you can look after the students.
Location: Andover
Role: Graduate Learning Support Assistant
Contract: Temp-to-Perm
Hours: 8:30am-3:00pm
Schedule: Full-time or part-time
Pay: From £85/day (PAYE)
If you're ready to make a real difference - and gain valuable classroom experience - we'd love to hear from you.
