This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven Senior Sous Chef — or a strong Sous Chef ready for that next step — to join one of Lytham’s busiest and most well-loved fresh-food venues. The kitchen is fast-paced, quality-led, and run with professionalism and pride, offering real progression for chefs who want to develop both creatively and commercially.

If you love cooking with fresh, seasonal ingredients and have the financial know-how to run an efficient kitchen, this role will give you the responsibility, support, and career growth you’re looking for.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Overseeing daily kitchen operations — prep schedules, rotas, ordering, and team leadership
• Supporting the Head Chef in maintaining high standards, consistency, and kitchen culture
• Contributing to menu development with fresh, seasonal ideas that deliver strong GP%
• Managing kitchen financials: stock control, waste reduction, accurate dish costing, and labour forecasting
• Building strong supplier relationships to secure the best value and quality
• Ensuring full compliance across food hygiene, safety, and operational procedures
• Training, developing, and inspiring junior team members
• Leading from the front during busy services — especially across peak weekends

What We’re Looking For
• Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or experienced Sous Chef in a fresh-food, high-volume environment
• Strong financial understanding — GP control, ordering, stock systems, rotas, and costing dishes correctly
• A confident leader who motivates, supports, and sets high standards
• Passionate about delivering high-quality, honest food using fresh, local ingredients
• Calm, organised, and focused when the pressure’s on
