Summary

The Research Dietitian will play a critical role in the delivery of a variety of clinical trials focused on weight management, obesity treatment, and metabolic health. This position involves working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary research team and our study participants. Key Responsibilities: Ensure timely completion of all key research study training modules required for the delegation of duties applicable to your role on specific clinical trials. Deliver specialist dietetic input to participants in clinical research studies as per study protocols study training given. Conduct nutritional assessments and provide dietary counselling as per study training given and study protocols. Collect, and record study data accurately in accordance with study protocols, research and ethical standards and utilising the ALCOA principles that data should be attributable, legible, contemporaneous, original, and accurate as well as complete, consistent, enduring, and available. Support retention of study participants. Ensure the safe and ethical conduct of studies in line with ICH Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and NHS research governance frameworks. Liaise across our multidisciplinary team of Principal Investigators, research nurses, administrative team and external partners including study Sponsors and Contract Research Organisations. Monitor participant progress and be a key point of contact for them Stay up to date with emerging research in nutrition science, behavioural weight management, and clinical trial methodologies. Be an active member of the Research Team, collaborating on projects, building strong working relationships, fostering a co-operative solution focussed work environment.
