Are you looking for an exciting and varied career within agriculture and the rural sector?
SAC Consulting is looking for an Agricultural Consultant to join our team in Campbeltown on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is a dynamic and varied role suited to someone who enjoys working directly with farmers and rural enterprises. You’ll provide independent expert advice and local support across technical, financial, and business areas, helping clients navigate the evolving agricultural landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver technical and financial consultancy services to farmers and rural business managers.
- Promote, market, and sell SAC Consulting services, working collaboratively with local staff and specialist colleagues.
- Support the delivery and outreach of the Farm Advisory Service (FAS).
- Identify and develop business opportunities for SAC Consulting among non-farming rural clients.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders including banks, commercial companies, Local Enterprise companies, and other industry stakeholders such as NatureScot, and NFUS.
- Undertake additional duties as required by the Regional Development Managers or Consulting Leadership Team.
Minimum qualifications and experience:
To be considered for this role, you must hold a minimum qualification of SCQF Level 8 or above in Agriculture or an equivalent rural or science-based discipline.
A current full, clean driving licence is essential for this role as travel to SAC/SRUC locations across Scotland will be required.
