Crynodeb
The Team Leader will draw on a broad range of technical know-how to provide carefully thought out advice/expertise to a range of stakeholders, offering innovative solutions and contributing extensively to development and improvement activities.

NeoBand: Enhancing newborn safety with wearable temperature monitoring for babies that require emergency transport

The Role
Key tasks in the role will include (but are not limited to the below), please download the job description for full details available on the CPI careers page:
• Overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of software applications and systems.
• Ensuring code quality and adherence to coding standards through regular code reviews and mentoring
• Staying up to date on emerging technologies and best practice in software engineering and implement them within the team
• Supervising the software team, ensuring delivery of departmental goals, through appropriate delegation and providing feedback and motivation to team members. This includes providing first line-management support, allocation of resource to ensure project delivery and short-term planning of deliverables.
• Actively contributing to a culture of continuous capability development through coaching, mentoring and/or developing colleagues across the technology team and organisation, providing insights into areas of specialism.
• Formulting and presenting possible solution directions and issue advice, building an internal reputation as a reliable and credible authority.
The Person
The successful candidate will be educated to a minimum of HNC or Foundation Degree level (or equivalent) in a Scientific/Engineering discipline and have significant industrial experience at a senior level. They must be able to demonstrate significant, technical expertise in software development and display evidence of complex technical problem solving.
Experience of supervising a small group or team within a operational environment and holding a supervisory or management qualification would be advantageous.
Experience in design and development of software medical devices, knowledge of systems engineering V-Model processes, and skills in systems engineering/systems integration in a commercial product development environment is also desirable.
