Are you passionate about working with children, or keen to try a new challenge?
Would you like to make a change to young lives and support children in their early development, whilst working as part of a village community.
If so, a vacancy exists for an Early Years Practitioner at Holmes Chapel Community Pre-school.
You will work as a part of the Pre-school team, under the direction of the Manager to provide safe, high quality education and care for young children.
Applicants would preferably hold a recognised Level 2 or 3 qualification in early years, however, we would welcome applicants with experience in early years, who have a creative mind and are keen to inspire our young learners.
The ideal candidate would be knowledgeable about children's development and the EYFS.
We have regular staff socials outside of preschool working hours and would welcome a new member to join our small experienced and qualified team, where practices and fresh ideas are shared freely.
The post is for a minimum of two days a week, currently Wednesday and Thursday, term-time only, for 38 weeks in the year. However, there is some flexibility with days, with more hours potentially available in the future to meet the needs of preschool.
Potential hours of work will be between 7.45 am to 6.15 pm Monday to Friday, however, there is some flexibility with this. You may be required to work a combination of mornings, afternoons and full days.
Flexibility to cover additional sessions and inset days, for training and planning, will be required.
Some experience of working with SEN children is preferable, although not essential.
Successful applicants will be provided with a uniform. Any statutory training such as Paediatric First Aid training, Safeguarding and Food Hygiene will be provided, costs covered by the preschool.
There will be other in house training opportunities for personal development growth and costs are covered by Preschool for any relevant training which will enhance your knowledge in the early years.
Holmes Chapel Community Preschool is committed to safeguarding and the successful applicant will be required to complete a full DBS and subscribe to the Update Service, costs covered by the preschool.
References will be requested, where possible prior to interview and any relevant issues arising from these references will be taken up at interview. References and the DBS (and update service subscription) will be required prior to commencement of the position.
We are a committee managed, not for profit Preschool (charity number 1017112), based in Holmes Chapel in the grounds of Holmes Chapel Primary School.
All applicants will be required to complete an application form. Please contact Dawn on the email address provided for a full application pack.
