Summary
Role:
- To work in the carpentry department preparing curtain poles and pelmets for finishing.
- Tasks will include cutting, routing, sanding and precise measuring.
- Need to be able to work with precision and attention to detail as all products are bespoke.
- Manage own workload from printed work lists to ensure all orders are delivered on time.
- Preparation of brass/metal for finishing including sandblasting and preparing.
- Help in the finishing departments as required.
- Opportunity to learn skills from other departments as develop in role.
Skills:
- Personality- A self motivated, pro-active worker able to show initiative, able to work alongside a small team of colleagues.
- Carpentry- cutting with industrial saws, measuring, routing etc.
- Good personal time management to self manage workload.
- Good eye for quality control of own work.
- Adaptable to work in other departments.
Whilst carpentry skills would be ideal, we will consider candidates who have undertaken manual roles or factory/workshop work.
