Summary
We’re recruiting for a permanent skilled Test Engineer to join a growing team at a manufacturing company in Telford. The successful applicant will be responsible for testing, inspecting, and verifying the performance and safety of low voltage switchgear assemblies, ensuring all products meet industry standards and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine testing on LV switchgear and control panels
• Diagnose faults and provide technical feedback to design and production teams
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards
• Maintain accurate test records and documentation
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across production and testing
• Requirement for working flexible hours at sometimes short notice to ensure projects are on track.
About You:
• Experience in electrical testing, ideally within LV switchgear or control panel manufacturing
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics and test equipment
• A proactive, detail-oriented approach to problem solving
Salary dependant upon experience from £16 - £17 per hour
Hours of work:
Monday – Thursday - 07.30 – 16.45
Friday – 07:30 – 12:00
25 Days holiday plus bank holidays
