About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and confident Expert with Lived Experience (Learning Disability) Co-Trainer to join Catalyst Care Group. In this meaningful role, you will help deliver the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability to health and social care professionals.

By sharing your personal experiences, you will inspire others to provide compassionate, person-centered, and inclusive care for people with learning disabilities. Working alongside a supportive training team, you will co-deliver engaging in-person sessions, answer participant questions, and ensure every session is insightful, respectful, and impactful.

This is an empowering opportunity to use your lived experience to influence real change in how care and support are delivered.

Key Responsibilities
• Co-deliver the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training sessions to care and health professionals.
• Share your personal experiences to promote understanding and empathy in care.
• Support the delivery team by engaging with participants and responding to questions.
• Help ensure all training is accessible, inclusive, and aligned with best practices.
• Represent the voice of people with learning disabilities in a professional and positive way.
About You
• Lived experience of a learning disability.
• Confidence in speaking to small or medium groups.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to share experiences clearly and appropriately.
• Reliable, punctual, and well-prepared for each session.
• Respectful of confidentiality and data protection rules.
• A genuine passion for improving care for people with learning disabilities.
