We’re excited to launch a brand-new role within Sense - AI and Systems Adoption Lead. This is a rare opportunity to shape how a national charity embraces emerging technologies, using AI and digital innovation to improve how we work and how we support people.
You’ll lead the exploration, implementation, and adoption of AI-driven tools, automation, and digital systems, ensuring they’re not only technically robust but also accessible, ethical, inclusive, and genuinely useful.
Acting as the bridge between the Technology team and teams across the organisation, from frontline care services to corporate functions, you’ll help colleagues build confidence, reduce manual processes, strengthen digital capability, and unlock the benefits of responsible AI use.
This role is based at our Selly Oak office with hybrid working (2–3 days per week onsite). Occasional travel will be required to other Sense locations, including London and Loughborough, as well as to supplier meetings and industry conferences.
Key Responsibilities
Identify opportunities to use AI, automation, and intelligent systems to improve efficiency, quality, and user experience.
Lead pilot projects in areas such as workflow automation, predictive analytics, generative AI, and digital accessibility tools.
Build strong business cases for investment and adoption of new platforms.
Ensure AI solutions are ethical, safe, compliant, and aligned to data protection and accessibility standards.
Develop and maintain an AI roadmap that aligns with Sense’s digital and service strategies.
Contribute to social-impact initiatives where AI can enhance independence or access for disabled people.
Lead the rollout, embedding, and adoption of new systems, digital tools, and AI capabilities.
Partner with system owners to introduce automation into core business platforms.
Create user-friendly guidance, toolkits, engagement plans, and training materials.
Build digital confidence across the organisation, tailoring approaches to diverse learning needs.
Measure engagement and adoption to evaluate impact and guide future investment.
Champion digital inclusion, ensuring tools work for everyone.
Work closely with technology teams to ensure solutions are technically sound and sustainable.
Collaborate with senior leaders to align digital transformation with strategic priorities.
Support the development of ethical AI policies, responsible innovation practices, and governance groups.
Help establish communities of interest, steering groups, and cross-functional project boards.
