Summary


The post holder will hold a complex caseload within the trauma multi-disciplinary team, offering highly skilled trauma-informed treatments or therapies, using appropriate therapeutic modalities. The post is specifically to link up the two year post graduate trauma course students (D19) to facilitate and support their clinical placements. Supervision of team members in their trauma-informed psychotherapy work will also be required.

The postholder will also facilitate work within the remit of trauma and addictions within the service, holding expertise in developing this complex area of work, including chairing a monthly workshop.
The postholder will be in the senior management team of the service which will allow the close liaison with DET for the students, supporting the management functions of the team in collaboration with the clinical lead and the lead for clinical governance.

You will maintain a high standard of clinical records, producing and maintaining good communications with referrers and other professionals involved, liaising with the referrers where appropriate, including liaison with local services.

The post holder will contribute to the quality, safety and continuous improvement of services provided to service users and their families.

Managing and responding to multi-factorial risk presentations and synthesizing complex data in the service of trauma informed care plans, crisis plans and management oversight of team caseloads.

Line and clinical management and supervisory responsibility for band 7 clinicians, deputizing or supporting the leadership where needed.

Membership of the senior management team with management responsibilities in line with this.

The post holder will hold their own complex caseload within the team including responsibilities for risk management and clinical governance.

The use of trauma-specific modalities will be expected within this caseload, held within a psychoanalytic frame. This will inevitably mean managing powerful countertransference experiences as an essential aspect of the work.
