Summary

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a fully qualified (QTS) SEN English Class Teacher to join SEN PRU in Harrow.

Location: Harrow, Northwest London
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-term (Until July 2026)
Contract: Part time, 2 days per week, ideally Monday & Thursday
Time: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Daily rate: GBP160 - GBP256

About the Roles:
Prospero Teaching is recruiting for a long-term position at a specialist SEN school and Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Harrow Weald, Northwest London. The role is for a SEN English Class Teacher, the cover will be needed until July 2026 and could extend further or lead to permanent opportunities.

This PRU serves students aged 5-16 who are unable to attend mainstream schools and supports a small cohort of 35-36 pupils. The school is rated Good by Ofsted and offers a nurturing environment to meet the diverse needs of its learners. We are seeking passionate and experienced educators to join their team.

What We Are Looking For:
· A qualified English class teacher with experience working in SEN or SEMH settings
· Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
· Ability to plan and deliver differentiated lessons across the primary curriculum
· Creative, hands-on approach to engaging and inspiring learners
· Understanding of trauma-informed practice and supporting disengaged students

Requirements:
· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
· Child and Adult DBS (Enhanced Disclosure)
· Right to Work in the UK
· 2 Professional References
