MFL Teacher - French (KS3 & KS4)
Location: Newport, South Wales
Start Date: ASAP or January 2026
Contract: Full-time or long-term supply
Salary: £172.97 - £205 per day (depending on experience)
Are you a passionate MFL Teacher with a flair for making French come alive in the classroom?
We're looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and committed teacher of French to join a vibrant secondary school in Newport, known for its welcoming ethos, supportive staff, and strong focus on student wellbeing and achievement.
This is an exciting opportunity to teach KS3 and KS4 French in a well-resourced department that values innovative teaching and engaging learning experiences.
The Role
- Teach French to pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Plan and deliver inspiring lessons that develop confidence and communication skills
- Contribute to a collaborative MFL department with a shared passion for language learning
- Assess, track, and support pupils' progress towards their GCSE goals
- Create an inclusive, engaging learning environment that celebrates diversity and culture
About You
We'd love to hear from you if you are:
- A qualified MFL teacher (QTS or equivalent)
- Confident teaching French up to GCSE level
- Passionate about language learning and cultural awareness
- Able to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
- Organised, proactive, and committed to high standards of teaching and learning
