Cradlefin Consultants are recruiting for female Domiciliary Care Worker to cover Christchurch and surrounding areas. This role involves providing high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them live fulfilling and independent lives. You’ll be part of a supportive environment where your contribution truly makes a difference. Rate: £12.79 – £15.90 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
▪️Providing Personal Care: Assisting clients with washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming while maintaining their dignity and independence
▪️Medication Support: Administering or prompting medication as per care plans
▪️Companionship & Emotional Support: Engaging with clients, reducing loneliness, and providing reassurance
▪️Meal Preparation & Feeding Assistance: Preparing nutritious meals and helping clients eat if required
▪️Mobility Assistance: Supporting clients with moving around safely, including hoisting and repositioning if necessary
▪️Household Tasks: Helping with light housekeeping, laundry, and shopping to maintain a comfortable home environment
▪️Running Errands: Assisting with shopping, prescription collection, or attending medical appointments
▪️Monitoring & Reporting: Observing changes in health and well-being and reporting concerns to supervisors or healthcare professionals
▪️Promoting Independence: Encouraging clients to do as much as they can for themselves while offering appropriate support
▪️Building Relationships: Developing a trusting relationship with clients and their families, ensuring a person-centred approach to care
Person Specifications:
▪️A caring and compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others
▪️A strong sense of duty of care and commitment to clients’ well-being
▪️Excellent communication and listening skills to engage with clients and families
▪️Ability to work independently and as part of a team
▪️Reliability, patience, and a positive attitude
▪️A willingness to learn and adapt to individual care needs
▪️6 months domiciliary care experience with medication administration
▪️Driving license and access to a vehicle with business insurance– Essential
▪️The right to work in the UK (Skilled worker applicants cannot be accepted)
