Are you the right person for the job?
They’re looking for an experienced field-based electrical engineer with a solid background in the installation, maintenance, and fault diagnosis of diesel generator systems, switchgear, and control systems. You’ll be confident working independently on customer sites across the UK, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.
You’ll need:
• 5+ years’ experience in power generation or electrical engineering
• Proven experience installing, servicing, commissioning, and fault-finding generator systems
• Working knowledge of ComAp, DeepSea, or DEIF controllers and basic PLC/HMI interfaces
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control drawings
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
• Full, clean UK driving licence (essential)
• CSCS/ECS or Safety Passport (desirable)
• Mechanical knowledge of fuel, cooling, or exhaust systems (advantageous)

What will your role look like?
The Electrical Solutions Engineer will:
• Deliver installation, commissioning, maintenance, and reactive support for generator systems across the UK
• Diagnose and repair complex electrical faults efficiently and safely
• Maintain accurate documentation and service reports
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients on-site
• Lead projects when required, coordinating with subcontractors and mentoring junior engineers
• Support process improvements and uphold safety and quality standards
