Crynodeb

Calling all night owls! If you're looking to start a new night shift job with satisfaction that you'd struggle to find anywhere else, you're in luck as we're looking for new waking night *female colleagues to join our amazing #TeamParkvale in Longside on a part-time (10 or 20 hours per week) basis!

Shift Patterns

This role will involve working one or two waking night shifts per week between the hours of 2130-0730 hours and will include weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis. Waking night shifts are paid at a normal hourly rate, plus an additional payment of £20 per night.

Although the majority of the time you will work a waking night shift, we will also need you to have an element of flexibility to attend training and build relationships with the individuals we support during the day, so occasional day shifts will form part of your rota.

The Role

Your role will be to provide support throughout the night to five wonderful individuals with physical and learning difficulties. Although working as part of our wider team, this role will mainly involve lone working.

Your main aim will be to ensure that the individuals we support have access to support and assistance during the night if needed. In addition to providing support, your responsibilities will include maintaining a high level of cleanliness, ironing, health & safety checks, managing finances and administrative support.

About You

You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and we'll give you all the training you'll need if you're successful. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too! However, there is limited transport links to our service, so we will need you to be confident that you can commute to and from our service for the shift pattern advertised.

What we will need you to bring: -;

A caring and compassionate attitude
The ability to work well in a team
Confidence to go in the water as swimming is a regular activity
Good communication and organisational skills
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
Confidence in the use of computers
The ability to cook (baking would be a bonus too!)
A full driving license and access to your own vehicle

Sound interesting? What are you waiting for? Apply today, we can't wait to hear from you!

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.

Please note - If you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany. Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
