This is a part-time, fixed term role: 22.5 hours per week, 24 months contract.
We are looking for a Fundraising Coordinator with experience in fundraising or supporter engagement, excellent written communication skills, and a passion for the arts, to work closely with the Strategic Partnerships Manager.
You will play a key role in delivering Leeds Conservatoire’s fundraising initiatives. Your role includes developing lasting relationships with donors, sponsors, and alumni to enhance the student experience and support the conservatoire’s strategic objectives.
This is a dynamic and varied role within a small, ambitious team. You’ll be involved in multiple projects and events, so the ability to manage competing priorities and work flexibly is essential. We welcome diverse experiences and perspectives and encourage an open-minded approach to new ways of working.
Interviews will take place in person on 1 December.
What You Will Do
As Fundraising Coordinator, you will support the development and delivery of fundraising campaigns, including individual giving, legacy fundraising, and corporate sponsorship. You will assist in preparing funding proposals and reports for trusts, foundations, and individual donors, helping to secure vital income for projects and outreach activities.
You will coordinate donor stewardship events, alumni engagement activities, and supporter communications, ensuring that every interaction reflects the Conservatoire’s values and ambition. You will also work with teams across the organisation to monitor project impact, gather data, and contribute to compelling reports and funding bids.
Using your creative skills, you will help design marketing and communication materials that enhance engagement with fundraising and partnership activities. You will also maintain stakeholder data in our CRM system, ensuring accurate records and GDPR compliance.
About You
Essential Skills & Experience:
Experience in fundraising and/or supporter engagement.
Experience in a customer facing role.
Experience of designing, running and evaluating events or projects, gathering information, liaising with stakeholders and contributing to reports.
Excellent written communication skills and the ability to write clearly for a range of audiences with a strong eye for detail.
Familiarity with donor databases /CRM systems.
Ability to write reports and applications to meet agreed briefs.
Confident working on a range of IT based systems, with an understanding of personal data management and GDPR and fundraising compliance. Desirable Skills & Experience:Understanding of some of the challenges faced when working in the arts, particularly with regard to funding.
An understanding of monitoring and evaluation of project delivery and performance.
Experience of carrying out research tasks, with an ability to present findings clearly and logically.
