You'll Need:
• A Humanities degree (2:1 or higher) in English Literature, English Language, History, or Geography – your subject knowledge is essential

What You'll Actually Be Doing
Supporting Student Success
• Deliver targeted 1:1 and small-group interventions for students who need extra support
• Help GCSE and A-Level students master challenging concepts and exam techniques across Humanities subjects
• Work with learners across all abilities—from those building foundational skills to high-achievers pursuing top grades
• Support students in developing critical thinking, analytical writing, and research skills
Building Your Teaching Skills
• Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons across English, History, and Geography
• Develop strategies for explaining complex ideas and historical contexts in accessible ways
• Learn classroom management techniques in a supportive environment
• Observe excellent teaching practice firsthand
• Support reading comprehension, essay writing, and source analysis
What We're Looking For
It Would Be Great If You Have:
• Any tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering experience with young people
• Clear ambitions to pursue qualified teacher status
• Strong essay writing and analytical skills
