Summary

Job Title: Transport Planner

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Shipdham, Norfolk

Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 8:00 am to 6.00 pm, with an unpaid lunch break of half an hour.

Salary: £35,000.00 to £40,000.00 per annum depending on experience and skills.

About the Company:

Within the Falcon Group is Falcon Tower Crane Services, the largest tower crane supplier in the UK and one of the largest in the world with just under 450 tower cranes nationwide. Falcon Power Generation with 400 generators nationwide along with Falcon Freight who operate a fleet of 37 HGV vehicles with a selection of units supporting artic and rigid HIAB cranes.

Falcon Freight Limited are looking for an experienced Transport Planner to be based in Shipdham, Norfolk to assist our Transport Division.

Comprehensive training and continual support to help you excel in the role will be provided.

The Role:

As Transport Planner, you will be responsible for managing the planning of our Flatbed fleet operations which will include organising the workload in an effective and cost-efficient manner, inputting of data on the transport planning system, answering and dealing with internal and external enquiries and maintaining of internal databases.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential Experience & Qualifications:

• Excellent knowledge and understanding of the UK Road Network.

• Excellent understanding of Driving Hours and the Working Time Directive.

• Excellent understanding of FORS Gold Accreditation.

• Experience in Transport Planning.

Key Skills & Personal Attributes:

• A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to communicate confidently, clearly and effectively face-to-face and written with all internal and external colleagues.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team with a highly supportive and collaborative approach.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure the workload is carried out effectively.
