Summary

Resettlement Practitioner - Lincolnshire Action Trust



HMP Morton Hall (LN6 9PT)



22 hours per week worked Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 08:00 - 14:00



(applicants must be 18+ due to prison-based working)

We are looking for an individual who is able to demonstrate outstanding customer service, show they have built sustaining relationships with others such as service users/customers/other agencies, have excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, are able to show their planning and organising ability. An ability to use IT systems and maintain accurate and timely case notes will also be required.



The successful person will use their skills and knowledge to determine levels of support required by individuals approaching release from HMP Morton Hall, devise and carry out support plans, review progress, positively interact with other agencies and colleagues, being aware of risk and risk management, maintain case records and collect evidence required for contract monitoring.

Candidates will also have a minimum of NVQ4 Advice and Guidance or a willingness to work towards this qualification after conclusion of a successful probation period.

A full, valid car licence and access to car with business insurance cover would be an advantage, as the prison is not accessible by public transport.

A trainee salary scale is also available £23,492 and a salary of £24,399 (full time 37 hours) for those with a relevant Level 3 qualification or equivalent.

Lincolnshire Action Trust (LAT) is a registered charity that works with individuals who are in contact with the criminal justice system across Lincolnshire and surrounding areas. The main focus of our work is resettlement and rehabilitation including employability, accommodation, finance and debt and work with children and families.

Over 20,000 clients access our services each year and volunteers are a valuable element of LAT’s support for individuals involved in the criminal justice system.
