As Cook working on our bank, you’ll be responsible for all kitchen duties at our extra care service. This will include ordering food, menu planning and ensuring all health and safety regulations are maintained. You’ll plan and prepare all meals catering to our diverse customer group, ensuring all meals are nutritional and suit a variety of dietary needs and cultures.





What you'll do




  • Overseeing the management of the kitchen as directed by our Support Coordinator and Service Manager.




  • Preparing and serving three meals a day to our customers, plus tea and snacks.




  • Responsible for ordering supplies, maintaining adequate stocks of food and keeping records of expenditure.




  • Responsibility for the overall cleanliness of the kitchen, pantries etc.




  • Our customers have a variety of support needs and they are all aged 55+ with different dietary requirements.

You have




  • Previous experience in catering work.




  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to keep calm under pressure.




  • An understanding of confidentiality.




  • Able to relate to vulnerable people with sensitivity.




  • Flexibility to work at short notice, you’ll be the one picking your next shift.

  • Able to use technology for updating stock sheets, ordering food and supplies, keeping records of expenditure and completing online learning.




  • You’ll need a standard DBS check done and we pay for that.
