Crynodeb
The post holder will be required to work within all areas where Interventional Radiology patients may be housed. This includes wards, the Day Surgery Unit and Radiology undertaking primary and secondary assessments alongside medical colleagues, providing support and guidance to nursing and medical staff in the management of IR patients. They will work alongside medical, nursing, radiology and multi-disciplinary colleagues in the management of IR patients providing support, guidance and advice as required. The post holder will act as a lead specialist and will demonstrate a high level of expertise within the specialist service, providing specialist advice, education, facilitating training and development, along with support to IR nursing team, other healthcare professionals and patients. The post holder will work in partnership with members of multidisciplinary team to develop, implement and evaluate a seamless specialist service, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of clinical care. The post holder will required to ensure evidence based care is delivered to patients and will be involved in audit of practice, research and service improvement.
