Job title: Personal Assistant (PA)

Location: Wednesfield, Wolverhampton WV11
Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will enable the person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the employer:
Our client is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to provide support to their 14-year-old son in the Wednesfield area of Wolverhampton.
Main duties:
Social duties
Keep in touch and socialise with family and friends
Support to access suitable community activities
Attend medical appointments if required
These duties may vary from day-to-day.
Type of person that you/they are looking for:
Values: Someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy going, able to work alone, positive, willingness to travel, understands equality & diversity.
Specific requirements: Someone with experience of working with children with both Autism and Epilepsy.
Hours of work: 5 hours per week term time & 9 hours per week non term time. Days & times to be discussed.
Rate of pay: £13.50 per hour
Skills, qualifications, and experience
Essential:
Full UK Driving Licence
Car and appropriate insurance
Previous experience of working with children with Autism & Epilepsy
Confidentiality
Good at building relationships
Good communicator
Ability to support people with behaviours which challenge.
Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.
This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
