About the role:

An exciting internal secondment or 12-month fixed term opportunity has arisen within the Strategic Planning and Delivery team at the University of Lancashire to appoint a new Project Manager. The successful candidate will support transformational programmes that enhance colleague and student experiences and drive operational efficiency. Working within the Strategic Planning and Delivery team, you will coordinate project delivery activities, support stakeholder engagement, and help embed strategic change into everyday operations and be core to ongoing strategic delivery for the University.

You’ll play a key role in supporting colleagues to adopt new ways of working and contribute to the continued success of the university. This role offers the chance to work across diverse teams – both professional and academic, develop your project and change management skills, and make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, transformational environment. As a key member of a high-performing team, you will be responsible for the delivery of significant corporate projects, developing relationships with key stakeholders and presenting management information and leading change with high-level audiences. You’ll be working with colleagues across the University to explore new opportunities for growth and also identifying areas of improvement.

About you:

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, and delivery focussed, with a background in working with others to deliver positive outcomes. Applicants will hold an undergraduate degree (preferably honours) degree or equivalent or have equivalent relevant processional experience.You should also have experience of successfully managing workstreams or leading delivery / change in close collaboration with key stakeholders such as senior management, administrators and professional or technical staff.

Utilising excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the successful applicant will have an ability to convey information to different audiences as well as build productive relationships with colleagues of varying degrees of seniority.

A high level of motivation, independence and commitment to deliver are core requirements for success in this position. You will also need to be adaptable, resourceful and a natural problem solver with a gift for operating effectively in a changing environment and a passion for making the University of Lancashire an even better place to study, work and do business.
