We’re looking for a dynamic and safety-focused Energy Operations Supervisor to oversee direct and contract resources, assets, and workload delivery in Cadent’s West Midlands Network. This is a pivotal leadership role where you’ll support management, inspire your team, and ensure smooth, efficient operations that align with our core values and performance goals.
You’ll be a role model for teamwork, collaboration, and customer service, proactively planning ahead, promoting best practices, and fostering an inclusive, high-performing environment. With a strong grasp of Cadent’s policies and procedures, you’ll champion safety, quality, and continuous improvement while helping your team grow and succeed.
If you’re inquisitive, driven, and passionate about delivering brilliant service to internal and external stakeholders, we’d love to hear from you.

Ensure full compliance with legislation, company policies, Safe Systems of Work, CDM duties, and cyber procedures. Supervise internal teams and contractors to maintain safety, security, and competency on site.
- Workforce Management & Development: Drive performance, productivity, and cross-skilling of Delivery Resources. Monitor operational performance using MI/data, implement improvement plans, and manage absenteeism and performance issues. Conduct workplace inspections and deliver compliant team briefings.
- Workload & Project Delivery: Own and manage work delivery schedules, ensuring technical compliance and alignment with SLAs across AMP, reactive, customer-driven, and asset health projects. Apply project controls, reforecasting, and reporting to ensure delivery to plan. Enable the Future Energy Programme and support design processes.
- Data Quality & Systems Assurance: Ensure accurate data capture within the Work Management System and asset condition reporting tools. Drive quality assurance through AQAD and compliant application of the G17 process. Maintain engineering compliance and monitor asset health across the network.
- Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the public face of Cadent, responding to complaints and enquiries professionally. Collaborate with Customer Operations and Technical Support Teams to support work completion and service excellence. Provide technical advice and lead investigations into process safety and asset incidents.
