Summary

Engineering Graduate

Full-time role, 37.5 hours a week on a term time only basis

HMS Sultan, Portsmouth

Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.

Help get better trained personnel to the front line faster - This is an outstanding opportunity for an engineering graduate to make a lasting impact by mentoring the next generation of Royal Navy engineers-leveraging your knowledge gained from your degree the need for prior experience!

What you'll be doing

• Delivering classroom instruction to groups of up to 24 trainees in: Electronic engineering and electrical machine principles (NVQ Level 4/5) and Basic electronics and mathematics (Level 2/3)
• Conducting practical lab sessions, demonstrating key principles and supervising trainee experiments
• Administering and invigilating both paper-based and online examinations
• Marking and check-marking assessments to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Maintaining and updating training materials
• Collaborating with Training Design staff to align content with DSAT standards and submit updates for approval

What we're looking for

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications

• Foundation Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering (or a related engineering discipline)

Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications

• Previous experience working as an Engineer

This role is offered on a term time basis working 45 weeks per year, with non-working weeks taken 2 weeks at Christmas and Easter and 3 weeks in August. The salary will therefore be pro rata'd and calculated to include contractual annual leave entitlement and bank holidays.
