As Capital Accountant you will be a key member of the Financial Services management team and have specific responsibility for the management, maintenance and development of the Trust’s short, medium and long-term Capital programme and Capital accounting requirements, playing a key role in the monthly and annual reporting requirements of the Trust.

You will be part of a friendly and well-respected finance team that offer advice and support to Colleagues across the organisation.

The Financial Services Management Team (FMST) is responsible for the delivery of financial systems to the trust and its stakeholders, statutory accounts, submission of various regular reporting requirements and many other functions.

The successful applicant will manage all aspects of the Trusts Capital accounting function. Attend meetings and offer expert advice to colleagues and key stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation.

You will ensure that financial records and systems are appropriately maintained in accordance with guidance and current accounting standards.

Advising on and implementing improvements and changes ensuring compliance is maintained at all times.

You will lead in Capital planning, forecasting and reporting on the Trusts Capital schemes and prepare timely and accurate financial information for inclusion in various committee papers and inform decision making.
