Job Title: Senior Care Assistant
Location: Maidstone and the surrounding areas (Bearsted, Langley, Park Wood, Shepway, Loose, Coxheath, Allington, Barming, Kings Hill, Ditton, Aylesford)
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: from £13.96 to £14.96 per hour with enhanced rates for UK public holidays
Schedule: up to 30 hours per week with variable hours from 6:45am to 10:00pm, Monday to Friday and alternate weekends
Eligibility Criteria for a Senior Care Assistant:
Minimum of 2 years' experience of working in Health and Social Care, with some supervisory/ leadership skills
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (desirable but not essential)
Full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle (essential)

Job Description:
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care, supervising a team of Care Assistants, and supporting our client's daily needs. You will also assist with shadow shifts, spot checks, training staff, and ensuring that safeguarding and health and safety procedures are adhered to. Your work will make a real difference in the lives of those you care for, helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.
You will work closely with our care manager who will support you to oversee our clients in the Maidstone area.
As well as supervisory duties, your schedule will include shifts of varying lengths, start and finish times and you will need to be available to work alternate weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, motivate and support a team of care colleagues
Manage shadowing, competency assessments and conduct spot checks
Support with medication sign off in line with company policy
Assist clients with daily living activities, e.g. personal care, meal preparation, and light house keeping
Provide companionship and emotional support
Administer medication and monitor health conditions
Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families
Follow individualised care plans and report any changes in clients conditions to care manager
Ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times
Participate in the on-call rota, shared with the wider team
