Are you enthusiastic about hospitality and delivering exceptional customer service? Burgess Hall, part of HDC’s One Leisure service, is looking for Hospitality Assistants to join our dynamic team. This is a variable-hours role, perfect for those who enjoy working in a fast-paced events environment.

As a Hospitality Assistant, you will:

Provide a high-quality bar and catering service during events and functions

Serve food and beverages, take orders, and process payments (cash and card)

Maintain cleanliness and stock levels in bar areas

Check guest identification for alcohol purchases and prepare drinks

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal requirements

Contribute to the positive image of Burgess Hall and the wider One Leisure service.

About you
We’re looking for someone who:

Has experience in customer service and hospitality (desirable)

Is confident with cash handling and food preparation (essential)

Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Can work flexibly, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain high standards under pressure

Holds a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable).

This role requires a strong team player who takes pride in creating memorable experiences for our guests.

This is a variable-hours position with no guaranteed set days or times. Hours will depend on the event schedule, making it ideal for those looking to earn extra income alongside full-time or part-time work, studies, or simply wanting flexibility without fixed shifts.

Please note: applicants must be aged 18 or over in accordance with licensing regulations.

An offer of employment is conditional upon having the right to work in the UK. HDC does not hold a Sponsorship Licence and is unable to provide a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) or take over sponsorship for any role.
