We are currently looking to appoint an Account Manager / Assistant to work for a local production company based in Northampton.

Hours are Monday to Friday 09.00-17.00pm.

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Account Manager to join our dynamic and growing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing company accounts and payments. This position requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of book keeping, accounts payment, credit control and preparing monthly management accounts for review by senior management team.

Duties
• Manage a portfolio of client accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for all account-related inquiries.
• Ensure timely processing of accounts payable and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as Sage and Xero.
• Prepare and present financial reports, management accounts, VAT calculations and Submission.
• Payroll, NI and Pension Calculations and postings.
• Manage multiple company accounts within the Group Structure.
• Review supplier and customer accounts to ensure optimum payment terms are achieved.
• Credit control and regular followup with clients to ensure payments regular payments are received.
• Cash Flow forecasting and reporting.
• Monitor KPI and prepare detailed reports such as month end management accounts to be reviewed by senior management.

Requirements
• Proven experience in account management or a similar role, preferably within a service or manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, or Xero is essential.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
