Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum (negotiable, dependant on ability, knowledge, and experience)

Job Profile
As the successful Quality Assurance Inspector, you will be joining a close-knit QA team of 2, working collaboratively within a wider manufacturing operation of approximately 60 skilled individuals.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all components meet the company’s and customers’ stringent quality standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a methodical mindset, and the ability to uphold accuracy under pressure.
This position has arisen due to a combination of retirement and team members moving to Rolls Royce, creating an exciting opportunity for someone with ambition and a commitment to high standards to make their mark.

Duties:

- Carry out inspection of parts using both manual CMM, and CNC CMM machines in line with company and customer specifications
- Use specialised software to produce bespoke inspection routines
- Conduct visual inspections of finished parts
- Calibrate and maintain company inspection equipment
- Communicate effectively with the technical and manufacturing teams
- Record inspection data accurately and prepare quality documentation
- Identify and report non-conformances promptly
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail under tight deadlines

You may be asked to perform other duties on occasion as required by business needs.

Skills & Attributes:

- Proven experience in a Quality Assurance or Inspection environment within Precision Engineering or Manufacturing
- Competent with CMM / CNC CMM inspection equipment and software
- Strong understanding of quality systems and documentation
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
- A proactive, adaptable approach to workload and problem-solving
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills

Education / Certificates:

- Apprenticeship or equivalent in Engineering or Manufacturing (desirable)
- CMM programming/inspection training (advantageous)

Hours of Work:

- 39 hours per week
- Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30
- Friday: 07:20 – 12:30
- Flexibility required when needed
