YOUR ROLE
Our operations team based in Derby, working with a prestigious aerospace client, is looking for a forward-thinking and ambitious Regional Operations Manager. In this role, you will oversee multiple operational sites, ensuring smooth daily performance, strong customer relationships, and compliance with CEVA standards for safety, quality, and delivery.
This role includes regular travel to our sites in London and Washington, supporting teams and maintaining strong operational performance across the region.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the General Manager you will take full responsibility for the effective planning, organisation and control of operations, ensuring all key performance targets are consistently achieved across three sites. You will maintain optimal resource levels and oversee daily performance to guarantee operational efficiency, accuracy and quality. You will drive continuous improvement through auditing, reporting and performance management processes.
You will lead and motivate your teams, ensuring all employees are fully trained, engaged and working to the required performance standards. You will also play a vital role in developing your team members through coaching, training and talent management.
Operational excellence and compliance will be at the heart of what you do. You will ensure that all health, safety, hygiene and security procedures are rigorously maintained across the sites.
You will be responsible for meeting budgetary requirements and identifying opportunities for cost reductions and efficiency gains. You will also maintain strong client relationships, ensuring service excellence and supporting long-term business growth. By clearly communicating business objectives to your teams, you’ll ensure alignment with company goals and track performance through KPIs and balanced scorecard metrics.
This is a Monday to Friday role, offering a salary of up to £40,425 per annum, plus a company car.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our ideal candidate will have proven operations management experience, ideally working within a 3PL or customer facing environment. Strong communication and leadership skills are key, you will have a proven track record of motivating and developing teams and implementing new initiatives.
You will be data-driven, comfortable presenting operational performance and improvements to clients and experienced in maintaining high standards of service and compliance. Experience working with Trade Unions is desirable, and exposure to aerospace or production environments would be a strong advantage.
