General Operative vacancy - fixed term basis. Based on-site at Invergordon, the successful applicant will work on a 4 days on-4 days off rotation. A key role for continued success of Port Operations, a progressive role for quayside coordination and working across marine and quayside operations. Closing date: 26th November 2025

- Working 4 days on- 4 days off rotation, 0700-1900 (1 hour break) flexibility required to accommodate business needs.
- Reporting to the Facilities Operations Coordinator or Deputy Facilities Operations Manager whilst acting as Relief Facilities Operations Coordinator
- Monitoring safe areas and assisting with coordination of Facility Users
- Assist with the cruise function; support operations including welcoming passengers, quayside logistics, health, safety, security, environment, and emergency response
- To prepare quaysides for vessel arrivals
- To assist with port facility maintenance duties (e.g. building painting, keeping facilities clean, clear etc.)
- To assist with surface and infrastructure repairs to quaysides, roadways, and pedestrian walkways
- Assist with manual handling; erection and dismantling of Heras fencing or similar boundary structures
- Driving company vehicles and operating plant
- Assist with core duties i.e. mooring of vessels and rigs
- Assist with supply of fresh water and fuel to vessels
- Winter & grounds maintenance – Snow clearing, gritting, grass cutting, weeding etc.
- Provide operational assistance to the Facilities Operations Coordinator, as required
- To support operations as Relief Facilities Operations Coordinator, as required
- To participate in the operations out-of-hours on call rota, & emergency response as required
- Assist marine crew operations, including Deckhand duties on the pilot vessels
- Available to undertake regular safety related and statutory training and exercises
- Other duties as required to meet the needs of the business
