Description
To keep all hangar areas clear of debris, clean floors (using equipment provided), and empty waste (non-toxic) containers To make occasional collections/deliveries of equipment, stock items (engineering/other) to various locations within the UK, using the company's vehicles as directed.

Key Duties

● Clear all litter, however minor, from the hangar floors in order to avoid any items of FOD (Foreign Object Debris) damaging rotor activity of aircraft.
● Regularly empty waste (non-toxic) bins from hangar areas to designated containers for collection by appointed contractors.
● Clean all wash-rooms and changing rooms, including floor cleaning.
● Drive to appointed destinations to make either collections or deliveries using the company's vehicle as directed.
● Load/unload engineering stock items on to/from company vehicle to/from assigned customer/supplier premises.
● Sweep and clear all litter/debris from the apron area (outside the hangar) and the areas immediately in front of each entrance to the hangars in order to avoid any FOD items damaging aircraft rotor activity.

Knowledge and Skills:

● Ability to find and follow directions / use in-vehicle sat-nav equipment.
● Ability to operate automated floor cleaning/polishing machine eg, Numatic Twintec floor care machine (training given).
● Able to demonstrate good level of safety and security awareness within a busy engineering environment.
● Ability to communicate effectively with hangar supervisors / managers, and with other colleagues across hangar departments.

Education, Qualifications or special training:

● Current, clean Driving Licence; Class 2 preferred.
● Clear oral communication skills and legible hand-writing.
● Evidence of manual handling training (eg, certificate of attendance).
