The school is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Business and Economics Teacher to join the department from January 2025. This is a long-term role until the end of the academic year, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. You will be teaching across Key Stage 4 (GCSE) and Key Stage 5 (A-Level), inspiring students to achieve their best through engaging, high-quality lessons.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in line with the Business and Economics curriculum


  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring strong progress and achievement


  • Monitor, assess and record pupil progress, providing effective feedback to support learning


  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and motivated


  • Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and enrichment activities


  • Maintain high standards of behaviour, discipline, and attendance in line with school policies


  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and whole-school initiatives


  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues to support student development


    The successful Business and Economics Teacher will have:
    • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) with a specialism in Business and/or Economics (ECTs welcome to apply)


    • Experience teaching Business Studies and/or Economics up to KS4 and ideally KS5


    • Strong classroom management skills and a passion for delivering engaging lessons
