Equated pay(sometimes known as spread-over pay) is a method of paying you for your contracted hours, working weeks, and holiday pay spread over 12 months instead of just receiving pay during the months that you work and none during the school closures/non-working weeks. This means that you get paid equal amounts every month. Further information will be supplied at the interview stage.
As a Catering Assistant for Sodexo at Hurstpierpoint College, College Road, Hassocks, BN6 9JS, you will contribute towards the smooth running of a fast-paced food and beverage operation. You will be responsible for showcasing what the kitchen supplies, presenting it in the most eye-catching way possible, and ensuring we offer the best service possible.

What You Do:
Ensure you are working to maintain and deliver a quality service according to set work schedules and procedures
Undertake the monitoring of quality control systems e.g. job sign off sheets and schedules
Ensure all aspects of the preparation of food service areas and presentation of food is to the notified standard.
Ensure you attend the daily service briefing.
Implement cleaning schedules to agreed standards
Ensure you are in the correct uniform and promote a good company image
Ensure the promotion of a good company image to customers and guests by using positive service practices
Ensure all front and back of house food storage and equipment are kept clean, hygienic, and maintained.
Ensure you are working in a safe way and follow the 3 checks for safety and are completing Near Miss cards
Assist with setting up and serving for hospitality catering.
Assist, as required, at special functions, some of which may occur outside normal working hours.
Report any complaint or compliment and take action if at all possible
Report any accident, theft, loss or damage and take action as may be appropriate or possible.
Attend meetings and training sessions as required
