Full time hours on a temporary basis
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead allocated Capital and Facilities Projects across the school estate and support related projects within the Community Directorate Capital Programme. This role involves providing technical advice on property and construction, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, and managing the identification and resolution of building defects.
You will oversee the delivery of school capital works and planned maintenance programmes to specification, time, and budget, while liaising closely with Head Teachers and Governors. Collaboration with Council colleagues, partners, contractors, and external agencies is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage capital and facilities projects across the school estate.
- Provide technical property and construction advice.
- Investigate defects and advise on repairs and maintenance.
- Deliver capital works and planned maintenance programmes on time and within budget.
- Build strong relationships with Head Teachers, Governors, and stakeholders.
