Summary

To assist in the delivery of strategic planning, commissioning and enabling for all aspects of Strategic Housing, though the provision of performance management, project and process management, business management and research assistance to the team.
An opportunity has arisen for a Housing Policy Assistant to be employed for a 14-month period in the Strategic Housing Programme Team. You will support the team in the delivery of new homes, together with enabling and allocation of affordable homes.
You will be responsible for providing administrative support to the team, as well as operating management information systems for the collation and monitoring of statistical analysis reports. You will also be responsible for assessing low-cost home ownership applications, as well as responding to customer enquiries to aid the effective delivery of affordable housing across the borough.
You will possess excellent customer service and organisational skills, together with experience of monitoring statistics and interpreting data, have an understanding of housing need and be fully computer literate with a working knowledge of appropriate computer applications.
