Summary
This is a key leadership position within the Finance Directorate, working with colleagues to shape and oversee the University’s financial operations and compliance landscape.
As Deputy Director of Finance (Operations), you will be responsible for:
Leading financial control and compliance across the University, including tax, treasury, investments, insurance, payroll, accounts receivable and payable.
Managing relationships with key external advisers such as tax consultants, investment managers, and auditors.
Overseeing the preparation and audit of the University’s annual financial statements.
Deputising for the Executive Director of Finance when required.
You will lead a team of finance professionals and play a key role in ensuring the University maintains robust financial governance and delivers efficient financial operations.
We are looking for a professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with strong technical expertise across financial accounting, taxation, accounts receivable, accounts payable, insurance, treasury, investments, payroll, and compliance. Demonstrable leadership and team management experience is essential.
