The power of good for Britain.Survey Manager Location: Sizewell C, Leiston, Suffolk (site-based)Contract: Permanent, full-time.Salary: circa £70,000 - £ 80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefitsBenefits include:Annual Leave: 28 days per annum, increasing to 30 days after 5 years of service, plus bank holidays.Bonus: Up to 5% annual bonus.Pension Contributions: Defined Contribution Pension Scheme with up to 7.5% employee contribution -15% employer contribution.Flexible Benefits: Additional allowance for a variety of benefits including.Closing Date: Thursday 20 November 2025About the RoleAs the Survey Manager, you will be responsible for the implementation and project management of the centralised Sizewell C Survey team. Reporting to the SZC Survey Lead, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality, consistent, and efficient survey services across all project phases, aligning with SZC’s strategic program goals and KPIs. This role requires strong communication and organisational skills, alongside expertise in geospatial solutions, technology integration, and driving operational efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesManage survey teams across multiple packages on Sizewell C.Implement safe systems of work, RAMS, survey procedures, and Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDPs).Plan, coordinate, and supervise all survey activities within the SZC Team Survey strategy.Oversee topographical, geospatial, and aerial survey operations, including survey control networks and monitoring requirements.Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and regulatory standards (e.g., ONR, LC12, LC19).Manage survey surveillance and quality assurance processes.Oversee survey equipment management and calibrations.Maintain survey as-built records and deliverables.Coordinate with contractors, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.Lead recruitment, training, and performance management of the survey team.Approve survey methods, calculations, and reports.Conduct audits, manage non-conformances, and implement corrective actions.Foster a strong safety and quality culture within the team.QualificationsDegree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.Chartered status with RICS or CICES.Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure survey operations.Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Proficiency in survey software and digital tools.Desirable SkillsProject Management experience.UAV/drone survey integration.Familiarity with nuclear or regulated infrastructure projects.Knowledge of digital construction and geospatial data systems.Experience with GIS systems and machine control technology.
