Role: Site / Grounds Person
Area: Ringwood, Hampshire
Contract: Temporary – until Christmas (possibility to be extended)
Days/Hours: Monday to Friday
Shifts:
06:30 – 14:00
14:00 – 21:30
Pay: Dependent on experience (paid via PAYE)
Additional Info:
This role involves ensuring the school site and grounds are safe, clean, and well-maintained. You’ll be part of a small, hardworking team responsible for site security, basic maintenance, and the general upkeep of the school environment.
The position would suit someone with previous caretaking, site, or maintenance experience who takes pride in keeping facilities running smoothly and looking their best.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and site upkeep.
Ensure school grounds are tidy, safe, and presentable at all times.
Open and close the school, ensuring security procedures are followed.
Support with site safety checks and compliance requirements.
Assist with moving furniture, setting up rooms, and general caretaking tasks.
Maintain outdoor areas, including sweeping, grass cutting, and small gardening tasks.
Requirements:
Valid Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service).
Previous experience in site maintenance, caretaking, or groundskeeping preferred.
Good practical maintenance skills and a hands-on approach.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Flexible and willing to assist where needed around the school site.
