Summary
Clinical duties of the Trust Dental Surgeon (Core level): Attendance at Day Surgery and In-Patient theatre operating lists Assistance in the operating theatre Attendance at Minor Oral Surgery local anaesthetic operating sessions Attendance at OMFS outpatient clinics (there is also scope for trainees to attend Orthodontic clinics according to their individual training needs or wishes) Assessment and initial management of patients referred to the OMFS department from A+E, GDPs, GPs, and other hospital departments Clerking of patients for theatre Management of OMFS in-patients on the wards Part of the first on-call DCT level rota
